What is the Pass G7?

Following the Kananaskis G7 in Canada on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, the President of the Republic announced that the city of Evian would host the next G7 Leaders’ Summit, as part of the French G7 Presidency which began on January 1, 2026.

The event will take place from June 15 to 17, 2026.

To ensure the safety of people and property, as well as the efficient management of traffic and flows – while preserving social, economic, and cultural activities as much as possible – the Haute-Savoie Prefecture will establish security perimeters around the venues hosting the 2026 G7 Summit.

Access to these perimeters will be granted subject to registration on a dedicated digital platform and the submission of supporting documents for:

  • Individuals wishing to access the Expanded Protection Zone (known as the Blue Zone) of the Evian G7 2026.
  • Individuals and vehicles with a compelling reason to access the Summit Zone (known as the Red Zone) of the Evian G7 2026.

 Two distinct scenarios apply:

  • The Expanded Protection Zone (Blue Zone): Access is authorized for anyone holding a Pass G7. Movement is permitted by any mode of transport, motor vehicule or otherwise, as well as for pedestrians. Traffic may be temporarily interrupted on certain routes during the passage of official motorcades.
  • The Summit Zone (Red Zone): This is a security zone at the heart of the G7 Summit. Access is restricted to residents or individuals who can justify a compelling reason to enter, upon presentation of the corresponding Pass G7. Vehicle traffic is prohibited, except by exemption upon presentation of the corresponding Vehicle Pass.

The Pass G7 is a personal access pass issued as a QR code, which must be presented at the access points of the designated zones.

Identity checks will be conducted by law enforcement at access points and within the protected zones.

Why should I apply?

A digital access pass (Pass G7) application is required if you need to access the following areas:

  • Extended protection zone (known as the Blue Zone), which covers the entire municipality of Évian-les-Bains and partially the municipalities of Neuvecelle and Publier.
  • Summit Zone (Red Zone).
